The Process

When it comes to powder coating, there are a whole host of steel and aluminium products that can benefit regardless of the size or project. The process of powder coating is achieved through two main processes which include thermoplastics and thermosets. Our expert team will analyse which method is best for your project to ensure a quality and long-lasting finish. Both processes are quite similar apart from one main variation – thermoplastics have no additional chemicals and just melt into the final coating. The sprayed powder coating is cured at temperatures as high as 400 degrees for ten minutes so that finish can set onto the object.

Due to the fact that powder coating doesn’t have a liquid carrier, it can therefore produce much quicker coatings when compared to traditional painting which can often create limitations with the aesthetics of a product or object. We are also able to blend several different types of powders to bleed special effects in a single layer.

Powder Coating – The Benefits

Although the upfront costs with powder coating may be higher, the quality and long-lasting finish that is creates should not be underestimated. Powder coatings offer much more flexibility when compared to alternative coating process which can help to create special effects you’re looking for without any real limitations or restrictions. Moreover, powder coatings also produce much thicker and more durable long-lasting finishes that can save you money in the longer term. Powder coating is also an environmentally safe product as it produces few volatile organic compounds, especially when compared to other types of finishes.
