Contender is a Rival 32, skippered by our Development Director Geoff Crowley.
On July 4th 2018, 4 volunteers will leave from Inverkip for a 1000 mile round trip to Rockall to raise funds for able2sail, a charity that gives people with disabilities the opportunity to go sailing.
The crew will sail almost non-stop in a route starting in the Clyde, round the Mull of Kintyre, a short stop at Barra to team up with other Rivals, then round Barra Head and west to Rockall. Rounding Rockall, they aim to sail north to the Butt of Lewis, a short stop in Stornoway and return to the Clyde. The trip may take about 10 days.
